The founder

Lila Páez

Managing Director, LatinBiz Incubator

25 years of specialized experience in sales and marketing management across consumer goods, pharmaceutical health, and gastronomic, marketing, and transportation entrepreneurship — a deep working knowledge of business development across multiple industries.

An MBA in Marketing Management, complemented by university teaching experience and direct work with the Latino community in the U.S. through PIQE, where she teaches classes for Latino parents whose children are in the school district.

Her personal story starts in Venezuela, where she built Insight Marketing over 4 years — the first time she had to rebuild a business from zero, in a completely different context. That experience of starting over, in another country, is why LatinBiz exists: she knows what it feels like.

KASU — Home Bakery

The anchor story for the California pilot: a business built in the very community where LatinBiz operates today. Exactly the kind of business a Latino entrepreneur just starting out identifies with most.

TYVO LLC — Non-Emergency Medical Transport

A formalized, regulated business built from scratch. It shows the path from an informal business to an institutional one — the same path many Basic and Premium program businesses are on.

Insight Marketing

The first venture, and the one that taught what starting from zero really means. It isn't a success case being replicated in the U.S. — it's the personal reason LatinBiz exists.

Mission

Closing the support gap Latino entrepreneurs face

4.7 million Latino-owned businesses contribute $800 billion annually to the U.S. economy — and they're still underrepresented in traditional incubation programs. LatinBiz exists to change that from the inside: mentorship in the right language, technology built for this segment, and real access to capital.
